very beautifully executed, i like that it doesn't thrust itself into the realm of some hyper realist to convince me of something. i get to travel into it and construct along with you.
a very complete work of art, not making that attempt to also complete me in how i view it.
solid!

Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I get the feeling you really looked at this. It is what it is...
There was a sketch I had done, very similar, that I gave to a friend. He lost it, and asked me to do it again for him. This is one of a few I did while attempting to do that for him. Some of my frustration is apparent.

My kind of landscape, it keeps the feel of industry even as parts meld into abstraction. The absence of detail and darkness in the background really expresses depth. The techniques remind me of my mentor Commander Mark Kissler (Draw Squad, Secret City), have you read his books, seen his TV show or attended his classes?

Thank you. I'm not familiar with Mark Kissler, but I'll look him up.

many great pieces are born of anger or frustration. i would say 'how could he!?' but i've lost things of my own that i thought i'd be taking to the grave with me.
'It is what it is..' is actually a valuable approach to have for an artist that i think is kind of left to settle or collect dust. as much as 'seeing what isn't there' can be a handy tool for interpretation or developing method, what u just said is important for pushing all else aside but what exactly is - that can make or break artists, as i've noticed an artist (or even just person in general) can at times continually read into a work without progress, not actually comprehending the blatant scheme in their fantastic voyages.
really cool, and again, incredible landscape!
